On June 9, 2003 I was on a boat taking
photos of icebergs when a NARWHAL surfaced nearby. It seemed very
curious about us. It swam near the boat, under it, and followed us
around for nearly 2 hours. The photos came out fairly well even though I
was shooting through the water. Apparently a narwhal sighting in this
part of Newfoundland and Labrador is rare.
