N A R W H A L  3

On July 3, 2003, I was once again on the Mottak  and travelled to the iceberg near Spaniard's Bay. For the third time a narwhal came to visit us. As you can see from the photos, this narwhal is a social animal and seems to like the company of humans. Since the last time I photographed it, the narwhal has been injured.  It was cut several times by the propeller of a boat.  Scientists are not certain if it will survive.  I apologize for the graphic content of a few of the photos, but maybe someone will see them and decide to Save the Narwhal!

If you require photos of whales and are interested in seeing more, please let me know.
